Safer & Stronger Communities PartnershipDrug And Alcohol Team (DAAT)
Gloucestershire Safer & Stronger Communities Partnership (GSSCP) is a team of statutory agency chief officers and partnership leads assisted by the voluntary sector, which ensures the countywide delivery of ‘Drugs: Protecting families and Communities’- the 2008 drug strategy and ‘Safe, Sensible. Social’- the national alcohol strategy. It has responsibilities for the ‘Safer and Stronger’ outcomes of the Local Area Agreement (LAA) where it brings together the work of the county’s six district Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships.
The GSSCP is chaired in 2007/8 by Ivor Twydell, Assistant Chief Constable, Gloucestershire Constabulary, and the Health Community is represented by Jan Stubbings, Chief Executive, NHS Gloucestershire.
The Drug and Alcohol Team (the DAAT) is a small staff team working countywide on behalf of the GSSCP, with a lead role for coordinating and commissioning the national updated Drugs Strategy and local Alcohol Strategy. It leads on the delivery of the Drug and Alcohol outcomes within the LAA.
Steve O'Neill, Adult Treatment Joint Commissioning Manager, leads on Adult Drug and Alcohol Interventions, treatment and Harm Reduction.
Pete Willsher oversees Harm Reduction and Treatment Effectiveness.
Dave Stork is Service User Coordinator helping to represent the service users voice based at City Works, Alfred Street (01452 543546)
Alison Hustwitt leads on Service User and Carer Issues.
