Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA)
Every primary care trust in England is required to publish a pharmaceutical needs assessment by 1 February 2011.
A pharmaceutical needs assessment is a publication that:
- describes the local area in relation to where people live, how long they live for and what sort of health they have;
- identifies where the local community pharmacies and dispensing surgeries are, and what services are provided;
- identifies where there are gaps in the pharmaceutical services provided;
- gives recommendations for how to improve the pharmaceutical services that are provided for the people who live in Gloucestershire.
NHS Gloucestershire’s pharmaceutical needs assessment can be viewed by using the links below.
